PLAQUE PSORIASIS

Plaque psoriasis is a common disease which appears as raised, red patches covered with a silvery white dead skin cells or scale. These patches appear on the scalp, elbows, lower back and knees. They are painful and itchy and they can crack and bleed.

If you get a rash that doesn’t go away with medication then you should contact your doctor. Your doctor will look for red scars with well-defined edges and the doctor will consider how the rash responds to medication before making a diagnosis. Plaque psoriasis is found on the outside of knees, elbows, scalp, lower back, face, palms and soles of feet. When biopsied, psoriasis skin looks thicker and inflamed.

The plaque psoriasis patients may experience pain in joints, skin rashes, fissures, flakiness, irritation, peeling, small bumps, stinging, redness etc; it is very common to have stiffness and tenderness in joints, the patient may also experience lesion, depression, itching, plaque, small dents in nail, swelling and inflamed tendons.
