ADRENOCORTICAL CARCINOMA:

• Adrenocortical carcinoma is a rare disease in which cancer cells form in the outer layer of the adrenal gland, the adrenal gland is present on the top of the kidney.
• The risk of adrenocortical carcinoma increases when having certain genetic conditions.
• The adrenocortical carcinoma major symptom is a pain in the abdomen.
• The chance of recovery and treatment options is affected by certain factors.

Adrenocortical carcinoma is also called secondary cancer. Cancer of the adrenal cortex is of two types functioning and non-functioning. Most adrenocortical tumors are functioning. The hormones made by functioning tumors may cause some symptoms of the disease.

People who are at risk for an Adrenocortical Carcinoma:

• Mostly risk on Females who are at the age between 40 and 50
• People who have heredity diseases that affect the adrenal glands
• People who have another form of cancer
