LUNG CANCER
The lungs are a pair of breathing organs inside the chest. The lungs bring oxygen inside the body when we breathe in and when we breathe out it sends the carbon dioxide out of the body. Each lung has a sector called lobes. Two tubes are present there bronchi and trachea, the bronchi lead from the trachea to the lungs.
There are two types of lung cancer; they are non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. The types are based on the way the cells look under a microscope. Non-small cell lung cancer is more common than the small cell lung cancer.
Using tobacco and smoking is the most common cause of lung cancer. In U.S the leading cause of death is because of lung cancer and the death from lung cancer in women is increasing. For most patients with lung cancer current treatments are not curable for the cancer.
